Ingredients
  

  • pounds ground beef
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • ¾ cup dry bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Italian-style seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 14.5-ounce can diced tomatoes, drained
  • cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • ❶ Preheat the Oven
    Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    ❷ Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture
    In a large bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, and ketchup. Mix well.
    Add Italian-style seasoning, oregano, basil, garlic salt, diced tomatoes, and 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Stir until thoroughly combined.
    ❸ Shape and Bake the Meatloaf
    Press the mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan and cover loosely with foil.
    Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
    ❹ Add Cheese and Final Bake
    Remove the foil and sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of mozzarella cheese on top.
    Bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
    ❺ Rest and Serve
    Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
