Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups white whole wheat flour
  • cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • ½ cup + 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil or extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons non-dairy milk if needed for consistency

Add-ins:

  • cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  • ❶ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
    ❷ In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugars.
    ❸ In another bowl, mix oil, vanilla extract, and non-dairy milk.
    ❹ Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
    ❺ Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
    ❻ Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheet, spacing them 1-2 inches apart.
    ❼ Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
    ❽ Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
